Theme: Research Across Boundaries
This year’s theme highlights the growing importance of cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural partnerships in research. It encourages exploration of collaborations that transcend traditional academic, technological, and societal limits.
Submission Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility criteria for presenting at ACUR2025 is open to all undergraduate students and recent graduates including Honours students (within 12 months of graduation at Bachelors level), as well as first year Masters students, who have conducted research during or before undergraduate studies, including extra-curricular research. Students are required to certify that their research is their own work based on their personal study and/or research while an Undergraduate, Honours, or first year Masters student. Submissions are open to both individuals and groups.

CSIRO Industry PhD program
The CSIRO’s Industry PhD (iPhD) program brings together an industry partner, a university and Australia’s leading science agency, CSIRO, to co-develop a four-year industry-focused PhD project for domestic students.
Students will develop transferable professional skills whilst focusing on impact-driven research in areas as diverse as AI, micro-plastics, alternative energy technologies, crop innovation, cybersecurity and game design.
With 50 industry focused PhD scholarships on offer each year, the Industry PhD Program (iPhD) is part of an Australian Government initiative to better translate university research into commercial outcomes.
You’ll receive:
