Undergraduate Research Newsletter (URNA) - Australasian Council of Undergraduate Research

Our bi-annual newsletter, URNA (Undergraduate Research News Australasia), publishes articles by students about their research, and also carries news from ACUR and from conferences as well as about upcoming events. Articles from university staff are also welcome, written in a style suitable for a general audience.

The URNA Newsletter is coordinated by the ACUR Executive through the editorial support of Lucia Ravi & Sonali Varma. To submit an item for consideration for the next newsletter, email, editor@acur.org.au with an outline of what you’d like to say about your engagement in UG Research as a student or academic.

Articles should be between 300 and 500 words in length, with an appealing title and a photograph (if active, all the better). Please download our Writing for URNA template.

Our latest Issue 27 of URNA is complete and published in June 2025. Current and past issues of URNA can be viewed below, and the digital form is distributed to all ACUR members and Steering Committee members around the world, as well as to all universities in Australia and New Zealand.

Issue 28 of URNA will be published in late January 2026. We welcome expressions of interest to contribute. Final article contributions will be required by the 10th December 2025.
